genuine ranks question

I'm seriously wondering: why are some sororities ranked so much higher than others? For example, Sigma Kappa has the BEST relationship with their B+ hero and sends so many sisters to their Alzheimer's Walk in the spring, AEPhi raises the most money for UDance and has TWO philanthropies, and for being new just 4 years ago, Pi Phi has stepped up and killed it.
Why are these not the things sororities are ranked by? Obviously every sorority has philanthropies and participates on campus, but why do we not "rank" sororities that actually do good for campus and charity just a little bit higher than they are?

because ranks are a social thing, no one actually in greek life cares about them too much
in high school it's not like the kid who does the most volunteer work is the most popular kid in school, it's someone who is traditionally attractive and outgoing. tiers are a very high school thing which is why no one except freshman care
