getting to know girls in your pledge class
by: sopjoreso im rushing as a sophomore and know girls in sororities, so assuming i get in and stick with it, are they tips to getting to know girls when you dont really leave around the dorms? I'm off campus and live in an apartment so I'm afraid i'll have difficulty getting to know the other girls in my pledge class.

There were a lot of off campus sophomores in my pledge class. One had a house and lived with girls in other sororities already and she had us over after airband practice one night for a bachelor watch party. I don’t even watch the bachelor and I don’t even think we did anything else but I remember it being a blast.
I think good advice, sophomore new member or not, is to remember to put yourself out there even once you get a bid. A sorority isn’t magic you still have to put effort into meeting and forming friendships with your new sisters. I went through a little slump after initiation where I felt like the magic was gone and maybe I had made a mistake but as soon as I started involving myself in things and just talking with girls I may not have always talked to at events and stuff the friendships forming and stuff felt effortless again.
