just curious, has anyone gotten a bid through cob to a sorority other than dg or theta?

A bunch of sororities will have girls drop out before initiation putting them below quota so a lot of them end up recruiting informally. Just about every sorority has had to do this in the last 5 years - even the top tiers have to do it. Usually they will reach out to specific people individually so you won’t hear anything about it and it will be very low key. I think axid did this last year.

Dg hasn’t had all of their events yet.
And yeah other chapters will have girls drop but they will only invite girls they know to join. It won’t be like they’re calling random girls up for interviews. It will be so and sos roommate or somebody’s mutual friend....
If you did not get a bid from who you wanted it is unlikely you will get one from them in informal recruitment. Just the truth. Unless you really wanted theta or DG and they didn’t give you a bid during formal recruitment, then they’re probably not going to invite you to join them during COB…

No it works the same. They just are usually the ones who will host open COB events and do it pretty consistently. Other chapters try to keep their COB quiet because that means they had girls drop or that they didn’t make quota (not that any of that actually means anything...).

If they didn’t tell you already.....they probably aren’t nterested. TriDelta has already started stuff I think so that means no more cob stuff for anyone else until they are finished.

It's only been a few weeks, there probably won't be many girls dropping out of sororities just yet to even need cob

I got 2 bids through COB one from a top tier and one from a top middle

Still calling BS on this.
How desperate were they they had to invite a girl they cut already back?
My chapter has had to do COB before and we never had to go back to girls we cut. There were always plenty of other options.

ASA is doing cob this year, and pretty much all top sororities have done it sometime in the recent past. Its not as uncommon as you’d think but also it’s hard to get invited to their events to get bids this way unless you have friends in the chapter
