Any new sorority is ranked at the bottom when it starts. Whether it will be good depends on who joins.
People are way too concerned about tiers. They drop out because they only get invited to bottom tier sororities yet, tiers mean nothing.

Yes 75% of the new pledge classes of new sororities (Pi Phi and Phi sig included) end up being girls who dropped out of rush because they didn’t get their way. That should tell you what you need to know about how they probably will be (and why nobody usually likes new chapters at first).

Tri Delt is often a top tier sorority at other schools, however they have been around much longer. It will start off at the bottom, and depending what actions they take and how they put themselves out there, it can wind up being a total win or total flop

TriDeltas founding chapter at BU is bottom of the bottom.
Their chapter at Alabama is top.

Sigma kappa here is top
SK at Florida is bottom

DGs chapter here is bottom
DGs founding chapter at ole miss is top.

Chapters at other schools mean nothing.

If you’re worried about them being “good” or where they will be ranked then I don’t suggest you bother going out for them.
Or do and maybe realize what being in a sorority is actually about 👍🏻

They’ll start at the bottom no matter how pretty or nice the girls are they’ll be considered the bottom. They may jump tiers after the first pledge class but it will take probably like 3 pledge classes to figure out exactly where they’ll be “ranked” consistently going forward. If you’re looking for a top tier sorority in tridelt, you may (Or may not) get there but it wouldn’t be for a few pledge classes down the line.

It’s going to depend on if they get enough new members this spring. If they don’t get the numbers they need or if girls drop out between now and then and they fall below total they will need to do cob.

This semester. Probably in a couple of weeks. Adults and girls from other schools do the interviewing.

Pi phi had collegiate members from Penn state come, I wonder who tridelt will have come help. Maybe Towson or UMD? AZD here went to help colonize AZD at UMD.

Tri delta at UD has a bunch of classy girls who care about reputation and looks. They are down to earth and willing to mix and have fun. They are going to go against the grain of the current sorority climate at UD. This can be a good thing. A lot of the girls dropped out of formal rush but even more were recruited individually by the people who started the chapter from the national committee. So the chapter is meant to be diverse and service oriented yet friendly and open.
