is it common for chapters to drop you after philanthropy? or do most chapters keep you? also, after pref, if you keep both of your options, will you most likely get your #1?

It’s very common to get dropped after philanthropy because chapters cut from 500 to like 200 girls. For pref, it depends on the chapter, I got my second one but I think it’s like a 60/40 shot you’ll get your first.

I agree with all of this, it's definitely possible to not get a bid from your first choice in pref, it happened to me but luckily I also loved my number two chapter

Pref round, as long as you maximize your options and rank both sororities you have available to you (or one if you have one left) then you’ll get a bid. Pref Round basically is hey we see you being a part of our sisterhood here is a sneak peek at our ritual and why we chose our chapter. Then you go rank which sisterhood you’d rather be in. You will get a bid from one of the two chapters left, at that point it all depends on numbers and who’s lost you were higher on after pref round.
