snap bids?

You just described snap bids and COB. Snap bids happen only the day of bid day when a chapter doesn’t meet quota, and there are girls who dropped out of rush that the chapter still was inviting back at the time she dropped out. Chapters do not give snap bids to girls they cut already. Snap bids only happen bid day.
COB, continuous open bidding, AKA Informal recruitment can happen any time throughout the year, springs or fall. It’s def a more chill way to rush, but only DG and Theta do it.

Hi I went to a theta COB event in the last year and it wasn’t invite only. Soooo....yeah.

Ok I wasn't sure! I had heard that they gave out bids after recruitment but didn't actually hear about the events so my guess was that it was invite only since they didn't really publicize it

DG and theta aren't the only ones that do COB. Last semester AxiD, phi sig and dg did COB and Alpha phi did it last year. It's just that no one likes to talk about it.
