Is rushing with a 2.6 a bad idea as a freshman? I’m getting along great with almost every sorority and love it but I know my GPA is low and will affect the decisions, but how badly will it? Which sororities care the most?

Honestly yes you likely will be dropped from most sororities. Almost all of their chapter cutoffs are higher than that, if not all. Getting along definitely helps but don't get your hopes up. Regardless, if you get your GPA up and rush again next year you'll at least understand the process and feel more comfortable so I think it's useful to be going through recruitment st ill

If you’re already rushing and are enjoying it, keep going. Just don’t be surprised if you get cut from everyone. But hey you never know!
If you’re thinking about it....get that GPA up for fall informal recruitment or spring formal recruitment!!!

3.0 is a safe GPA to have.
But sororities will cut girls for a wide variety of reasons. You won’t know why a group cuts you. Could be GPA, could be they didn’t get a good feel for how good of a meme her you would be.
Focus on who you have inviting you back during recruitment and less on who cut you and why. You’ll be a lot happier being in the moment like that and realizing you want to be a part of a group that wants you back. The sororities that do invite you back WANT you to be there with them.
