initiation
by: CuriousWhen is sorority initiation, and are new pledges really busy on weekends between bid night and initiation?
#2 by: Depends
Every sorority is different. But after bid night, you’ll likely have new member meetings once a week and have probably on average 2-3 events / mandatory or optional things going on like philanthropy events and stuff every week. You’ll also have to factor in time for “girl dating” to find your big, and you’ll have things like big-little reveal going on. Some chapters have things going on for their new members like every night for the first week after bid night but every chapter is different. It depends on the chapter but yeah you’ll be pretty busy.
#3 by: Busy
Your new member period is typically pretty busy because of new member meetings and girl dates (as mentioned above). Spring semester typically just tends to be busier in general because there's a lot more going on greek wise in the spring like greek week, Airband and UDance, on top of any/all philanthropy events your chapter might have. It may seem overwhelming at first but things will calm down a bit. Joining a sorority however IS a big time commitment and you should take that commitment seriously.
