A dry rush would refer to not drinking during the recruitment period which you absolutely should follow and is supported by NPC. Good luck if you try to go out during recruitment, being hungover suring rounds would not reflect well on you. Some sororities have dry pledging periods, where new members aren't supposed to be seen drinking during their new member period but my chapter didn't have that so I'm not totally sure the details

Aephi has a dry “pledging period” (as the person above called it... I’ve only ever heard it called a dry rush). New members can’t drink till initiation.

TECHNICALLY.....most girls rushing/pledging are freshmen so that means they should be dry anyway riiiiiight???? Because they’re all under 21????
Yeah TECHNICALLY everyone has a “dry” pledge period........

Aephi is the only one I know of but I think one or two others might also do it. I’m pretty sure it’s considered hazing since it singles out certain members (new members) and forcing them to do (or not do) something so I don’t think it’s too popular to do here.

No one actually is dry. If a person in any sorority wants to drink they do
