sorority
by: sororitycan someone explain whats going to happen with delta delta delta? (in terms of bids, bigs, and the whole rush process)

Whenever a new sorority comes it’s always the same. They like campaign on campus for months leading up to formal recruitment, then formal recruitment happens and they will be there for the first round only. Then recruitment will continue without them, then after formal recruitment is done they will have sign ups for interviews to be a founding member for them. You interview with tridelta alumni who really just take you based off your resume (like what’s your gpa, what clubs or activities are you in, etc). There’s like a bunch of rounds of interviews, then they will give out their bids and have their own little bid day.
You don’t really get a big you’ll get like a twin or something. Then you’ll get Little’s next year and it’s like your own little family growing from there. But yeah you don’t get bigs in the same way established sororities do.

Yeah it will be some “leftovers” but you forgot about girls who are Delta legacies (ie have a mom or grandma who was a tridelt) who want to join for that reason and there will be girls who think it would be cool to be a founding sister and will join for that reason too. There will likely be several hundred girls rushing for just tridelt so it will probably be pretty competitive to be a founding sister.

because their rush happens after regular formal recruitment, they get a lot of "leftovers" tbh.
What i mean is, either freshmen who didnt rush at all at first, girls who rushed and didnt get the chapter they wanted (immatureeeeee), or sophomores and juniors who never rushed but now want something on their resume....
