aepi vs apes

I know these two frats are separate but how did APES come to be? Didn't it used to be AEPi and then branch off? Someone give me a history here pls

Old AEPi got kicked off. That group decided to become APES. Period in which they were kicked off ended. Old AEPi decided they liked being APES more. New group of kids rechartered AEPi. The end.
