does it happen right after bid day? do other chapters participate at all?

Informal recruitment events are planned events hosted by the chapters who have more spots available to take more new members. The events can range from going to their house and meeting a bunch of sisters to going to deer park for nachos with a few sisters. They can be held whenever pretty much so if you're interested in informal recruitment I suggest letting Panhel know so they can put you on some sort of info list.
Now, if you're in regular recruitment now and hoping for a certain chapter that dropped you to have COB, I just want to let you know that if they dropped you during formal recruitment, they will probably cut you in informal recruitment too. If that's the case for you. If you just missed formal recruitment or were overwhelmed by the process then yeah informal will be a good option for you.

DG will probably still be having informal recruitment. Since their chapter is like 1/2 the size of what everyone else has.

DG didn't meet quota so they'll be doing it.

Panhel was like "yay we are amazing everyone met quota yay us!" But then the girls DG gave bids to didn't accept them.....
DG gave out 70 bids which is over quota buuuut how can you say they made quota when you didn't wait to see who accepted the bids? Shady.
But good on DG for their pledges they look super hype to be where they are and that's what matters. #panlove
