low gpa, can i still rush?

So i was thinking about rushing this semester, however i know that the GPA for formal recruitment is a 2.5, and being my first semester of college, it was pretty rough and i ended up with a GPA lower than 2.5. Is there any way that i can still rush or will I have to wait until after i get it up?

Unfortunately the requirement cut off to participate in recruitment is a 2.5. Even if you had the bare minimum most chapters have their own cut offs set by nationals that are somewhere between a 2.6-3.0. Get that GPA up and try next year!

they dont let anyone with a 2.5 rush and they do not round GPAs up or count any winter classes towards this GPA.
