sorority hazing

I'm a freshman planning on joining a sorority this spring, and I'm pretty worried about getting hazed. I know a lot of the sororities on campus say they don't haze, but I've heard stories and was wondering if them saying that was just bs. Anyone who's currently in a sorority, were you hazed and if so was it bad at all?

nooo no no my chapter did not haze at all! You will hear so many crazy ridiculous rumors about each chapter and hazing and literally I experienced none of it, neither did any of my friends that winded up in different sororities (and I know girls in basically every sorority by now). No chapter wants to risk their existence on campus like that so instead the new member process is typically super welcoming and friendly and fun so don't worry about it!

I'm in a sorority too and i PROMISE there was NO hazing, just really fun activities that enabled my pledge class to genuinely get to know each other. Trust me, I would have dropped if I thought or knew for sure there was hazing anywhere
