low gpa mean no bid?
by: anonif you have a 2.5 GPA are you less likely to get a bid from anyone? are there different GPA requirements for different sororities?

having a 2.5 (or 2.6 or 2.7) will not help you, but it doesn't automatically translate into no bid. You will get a pamphlet with the bare minimum GPA each sorority will accept, which is usually set by nationals, and there are a handful that don't even take a 2.5 as bare min. Different chapters may have some sort of internal goal GPA, like axid or adpi, that is higher than what they list in their pamphlet.
That being said, your GPA will not expunge you from the process. In the following weeks, there will be girls crying their GPA was the reason they didn't get into xyz sorority. It isn't. It is hard to say what exactly will drop you from any specific sorority, but it is likely not just your GPA. If you stay in the process the whole way through, you will likely receive a bid come bid day.
For now, there is literally nothing you can do about your GPA. So sit back, relax for the rest of break, and get excited to come back to school in less than a month, rush or no rush.

Actually all the sororities have a higher requirement. 1 chapter i know takes a few girls below their gpa listed in the book (cough alpha phi cough) but most will cut anyone below that GPA the first round unless they are high enough on a chapters list (AKA enough girls they talked to voted them highly), a legacy, etc.
