grades to get in?

In order for you to register for recruitment you need a 2.5.
To join most sororities you SHOULD have at least a 3.0.
A decent amount of chapters (azd, adpi, to name a few) will cut anyone below a 3.3 or something like that.
Now yes there's stories every year of "oh my roommates cousins girlfriend got a bid and she's got.a 2.6!" But do you really want to take a chance that you're going to be that girl who gets lucky?
One of the easiest ways to cut down the massive pool of PNMs is to set a GPA to cut off everyone below that. Do yourself a favor and do as well as you can this semester to give yourself the best chance of having the most opportunities during rush in the spring.
