Spring recruitment is informal while fall rush is formal. During the spring, recruitment is more lay-back and you just chat with members of your desired chapter, and you can rush a particular chapter if you want. In the fall there are more rules and you must visit every chapter. I personally found fall rush stressful, because it is much more of a time commitment. It is up to your own decision, ultimately! You could always try spring and then not join and try again in the fall. best of luck xo

Yes and no. It's less stressful in the sense that the experience is more laid back and way less hectic than fall recruitment, but more stressful in the sense that you can't be as certain that you'll get a bid. If you only rush Kappa this spring and they don't give you a bid you'll have to wait until the fall to try again, whereas because you're required to attend all rooms during fall recruitment, if Kappa cuts you then you still have a good chance of getting a bid from a different sorority. It's for sure worth at least attending one of the events they have this spring though to see if you might be a fit. Hope that's helpful!

Maybe check out multiple sororities' recruitment events this spring so that way if you don't get a bid from Kappa you might still get a bid from a different chapter
