Off campus frats?

What are the differences of being in a IFC vs off campus frat. Also why's pike off campus?

Pike has been off campus since 2011, so 10 years, for a party they threw while already on probation for throwing other parties.

i think main difference is off campus frats can’t do northeastern sponsored events on campus, like Greek Sing (dance competition where paired frats and sororities compete), mega socials or table at Fall Fest. also some sororities won’t do socials with off campus frats.
