do sororities cut after bid day?

I guess it's possible to get a bid and then be cut before initiation but I've never heard of it happening to someone. You would have to do something very bad or have a repeat offense... it's not like frats who cut pledges to reach a 'quota'. Also - rules with going to parties vary by chapter. Haven't heard of a chapter outright banning girls from parties for the whole new member period but most don't let their new members go out with sisters before initiation.
