bids for freshmen

So if I haven't gotten a bid yet am I screwed? Don't most frats give them out before official bid day? I'm friends with quite a few brothers at one house, but I haven't heard anything about a bid. I get their rush emails and go to events and get along with everyone. No bid but nothing about getting cut. What's going on?
