stereotypes of each sorority

You've got a whole semester until rush. Get to know the sororities yourself instead of listening to rumors on this website.

Love girls in every sorority; here are some statements about the girls in the different ones:

Theta - pretty southern girls (day/night theta divide), have to rush and know girls
Kappa - more northern city girls (Jappy rep), have to rush hard and know girls
Tridelt - more diverse group of top tier girls, most down-to-earth/accessible of top but should still rush hard and know girls if you want tridelt

Pi Phi - party girls, more bro (least basic compared to similarly ranked sororitys)
KD - party girls, more Jappy/northern but diverse and fun-oriented
Chi O - pretty girls, more "sweet", academically oriented ("christian girl" rep)
Zeta - pretty girls, diverse group because newer on campus but very cool

Alpha Chi - down-to-earth, close-knit cool girls
ADPi - diverse group of girls, very sisterhood-oriented, some partiers
AOPi - sisterhood-oriented girls

Regarding the "rush hard" question, there are some sororities where you can just sign up for recruitment, not know any/many girls in the chapter, and get a bid just based on your conversations and interactions during rush rounds.

There are also some houses where most of the spots in their pledge class are reserved for girls that they have already met and decided to rush. So to get in at the ones you'd "rush hard", you'd make it a point to meet girls in that chapter and make a good impression and express interesting in joining BEFORE recruitment.
