2016 january rush

I think simply having a rec helps you a little bit in most houses but I honestly don't think it matters when you get them in or even what they say. Most sororities don't actually read the recs very thoroughly idt. Definitely get them if you know sorority alumna who are willing to write them, but don't stress about it. If multiple women you know have offered to write you letters for the same house, have them all write recs, but if you only have one for some houses, you don't need to seek out more rec writers if that makes sense.

Plenty of girls end up in great sororities without any recs. Making a good impression on sorority girls first semester is more important but don't come off as desperate/tryhard.

Tbh I only had recs at one house, but I had 4 at that house. That house actually told my recs that they weren't going to read them and so it didn't really matter anyway, so not to bother sending them in. Now this could have just been that one house, but in general I dont think the recs matter all that much.
