Rise of KKG over DDD and Theta?

What has happened in the last 30 years to have KKG become the sorority of choice? My daughter is a freshman who joined KKG over Theta (I was a Theta at Vanderbilt, but my top options were Theta and DDD in the mid-1990s. KKG was nowhere on my list). They are all good but very different. My question, what has changed with KKG to make them so popular (other than 2 A-list celeb's children recently joining)?

this is a weird question. feels like a someone in theta trying to boost them.

the answer may hurt, but kappas are on average more attractive than thetas, and that’s what frat boys care about
