Why would anyone join a sorrority?

I'm conventionally hot/ cool/ parties in high school (i know how annoying that sounds but for context) and have tons of girls and guy friends. I am on a full ride here and can't afford rush. Why would I rush a sorority? I can go to all the frat parties and barely anyone lives in the actual sorority house

Also my sister's friend went to Vandy a few years ago and was not in a sorority (money) but still had na amazing time, went to all the frats, etc. She said sorority rush is way more based on $ then how cool/hot you are.

Is that true?

Then don’t rush. Others like the camaraderie at the house, working on philanthropies, holding leadership positions, taking trips together and spending time with people they have things in common with. People can vilify it all they want but I don’t understand the judgement. Live and let live.
