this needs to be addressed
by: greek lifeeHi so I'm in a sorority here and one of my guy friends got pretty mad at me this weekend. I asked him during a DKE event how he got in there bc he's not in DKE and he got so pissed at me. I just don't get why he would be upset at me like I'm not trying to insult him for not being in greek life but I just don't want him to get kicked out bc that reflects poorly on me bc I'm his friend.

because it’s insulting to ask. you basically said “i didn’t think you were cool enough to get invited here”. this is the equivalent of a girl in kappa going up to a zeta or something and asking her how she got into a dke event. like you were totally in the wrong there.

How would you respond if I went up to you at a DKE event (or any event for that matter) and asked how YOU got in. You would probably be pretty insulted yourself. Also I didn’t see many people not in Greek Life at the Patty’s Day DKE event so if this is a true story your “friend” is going to know who posted this.
