Sororities care way more about money than looks

by:

It seems like Vandy sororities care more about how much money girls have rather than how cool/attractive they are. Yes money and attractiveness are typically correlated but I’ve seen super attractive/cool but mid/lower class girls get cut immediately from top sororities while unattractive rich girls get in.

Can someone confirm?

when i was in a sorority here (dropped during agl so hate on me if you want) we used to have a spreadsheet of all pnms and if we didn’t know where their house was so we couldn’t look it up on zillow we would just look up the average income from their town or try to go off of insta picks

why would you say this when you KNOW it isn’t true. You’re not even allowed to have a spreadsheet of girls names and you have to have an advisor present at all recruitment meetings and no one would EVER let that happen. Unless you’re a kappa, this is 1000000% fake

im a guy but if this is true this is so f'd up. How can you tell how rich someone is based on average income of a town. braindead people. Average income literally is skewed by so many factors, and a lot of Vanderbilt kids are likely in the upper 25% of people in their town. hope this is a troll post.

most vandy kids who rush are upper class period. most of these kids who think they’re “middle/lower class” simply aren’t and fail to see whatever privilege they have.

It’s sad to see that some people equate “money” with “class”…people from more average means can come from “old families” and in their area be considered upper class. And there are plenty of “nouveau riche” people who have NO class or manners but because in their area money=class, they’re considered upper class.
I know PLENTY of girls in EVERY GROUP who come from good hard-working families where both parents work to put their kids through good schools to get them top educations and great careers.

The quote: “Money doesn’t buy class” always has and always will be true.
