So it pretty much goes like this:
1) kkg/theta tie (theta was slightly better than kkg before but kkg's new PC was a bit better probably because of the whole incident with theta at gulf last year)
slight gap
3) tri delt
decent gap
4) tie with KD/Pi Phi (KD has been better than pi phi in the past but their new PC wasn't too great which brings them down to pi phi level)
6) XO
slight gap
7) zeta
big gap
8) ADPi (irrelevant)
9) AXO (irrelevant)

Why is there a need to rank the houses? I honestly thought all of the houses were great when I went through rush. And I have friends in every house now. So many great girls. The rankings must stop!

Shallow. VU students are perfectly capable of forming their own opinions. Lots of good sororities at VU.

I was on the recruitment team for my sorority this past year and at the end of rush they release data to the advisors to show what houses are “the most desirable” by looking at the amount of girls that were invited back to a house during rush and decided not to come back (aka a “regret”). OGL and Advisors use this data for rush in the following years and my advisor let me look and I was shocked. Theta only had 3 regrets the whole entire rush, Kappa had 18, KD had 23, and tridelt had 41 regrets this past year. I didn’t look at/don’t remember the rest of the recruitment data for the other houses

I wonder how this data would turn out if there were no rankings, if people didn't have a pre conceived opinion about each house. Each sorority should recruit new members on their own merit, not on some subjective rank.

Yes, but look at the pledge class sizes. Theta’s three regrets had to be from a very small group because they took a small class. So the girls who went there decided early or that’s all Theta had.
Kappa, on the other hand took about 20. So they were working with a much larger pool.
Regrets is only one piece of the whole recruitment puzzle. Another key: HOW MANY GIRLS chose to return to Theta for the final round, To Kappa? To Tri Delta?

Not at all, I think every house has merit! I'm simply saying that rankings do not allow potential new members to evaluate their interaction with sororities objectively, and that they might discount a lower ranked sorority that might otherwise been their best fit.

Agree. Sounds to me like the “rankings” are nothing more than guys mouthing off about who they think is “hot.”

Tridelt (kkg/theta rejects, think they are better than they really are)
KD/PiPhi (actually cool girls with more to them than being pretty or focused on clout)
ChiO- (chill)
Zeta (less chill but chill)
Adpi (meh)
AXO (don’t even get me started but bad)

ChiO girls are literally the most not chill girls out there. @ranks put them in the right spot, but not for the right reason. If it was solely based on looks then they would either be slightly ahead of KD/PiPhi or at least even with them because they're actually pretty decent looking. However, a lot of them are socially awkward Christian prudes who are no fun to have at parties which significantly lowers them. Still ahead of Zeta in my book, but not by much to be honest.

I’m not sure if “high” is accurate if you’re fighting over the number 4 spot with only 9 sororities. KD and PiPhi are literally the same and most girls who end up in either of those two houses have both of those on pref night
