People say it’s not a big deal but you definitely get a huge helpful boost when you already know girls coming in (just makes life a little easier for you). But, just because you don’t know girls coming in doesn’t mean you’re at a disadvantage - it just means you’ll have to work a little harder to meet new people first semester. Definitely get your recs in as soon as possible for the houses you really want. Join clubs and talk to older girls in your classes to make natural friendships and they’ll look out for you during rush

also make guy friends theyll take you to date parties and you can meet older girls there

DSP > AKPsi. DSP has more srat members than AKPsi rush there. also DSP is like 50% theta, kappa, and dke/sae its wild.
