why are pike and delt leaving
by: explainI'm an incoming freshman and I see posts saying pike and delt wont be here anymore in a couple of semesters. What does that mean?/why bother even rushing those frats then. also ive gathered if there's one frat to not be in, its pike so I guess that doesnt really matter. But still why are they leaving campus

Before I answer, I know this site is one of the few resources to learn about greek life at vandy but as an incoming freshman don't take the info here too seriously (you right about Pike tho).
Right now Pike is in Phi Delt's old house and Delt is in AEPi's old house. Neither one has a house on campus that was built specifically for them, so the idea is that when Phi Delt and AEPi come back they'll get their old houses again, leaving delt and Pike houseless. There's a schedule of what chapters are coming back when in a recent Hustler article if you're interested.
Because chapters' nationals/house corps don't actually own the houses at Vandy (very wack imo) I'm not sure if this is set in stone, but it's what many on campus assume will happen. At that point it would just come down to Pike and Delt waiting for another chapter to get kicked off to squat in their house for four years.

Honestly rush anywhere, Greek life here isn’t that serious, you can get into any party anyway it’s not extremely competitive like at other schools

I know Pike is a meme on this website, but I wouldn't let it be the reason why you don't go to any of their rush events.
They have a few bad apples, but as a group, they're not as bad as people make them out to be. Give every house a chance, and don't let other's opinions influence your own.
