This is not true. Vanderbilt is literally in the process of adding more greek houses right now—they obviously would not be doing this if it were getting shut down. Just because vandy is actively trying to be more inclusive to other orgs as well (ie NPHC, other clubs, etc) does not mean that thwy’re going to get rid of traditional greek life , were allowed to have both.

Obviously vandy greek life is not comparable to how it is at other state schools, but it is still a very large portion of students and very active (and existant lol) on campus, especially for girls (~50%).

Yeah this dudes just wrong vandys investing millions of dollars in new Greek facilities, it’s never going away

This is just not true at all. My dad is on the board here and he says they are dedicated to keeping Greek life alive at vandy because IFC, Zeppos, and the board all know that frats and sororitys are a large part of what draws prospective students from other great schools like Cornell and UPenn. Greek life is never going away. Just don’t piss on your pledges and you’ll be fine.

don’t really see how you can say this isn’t true. In the last few years Phi delt, beta, aepi, Fiji, and phi psi have all been booted. Sae is in the process of either getting booted or suspended for a very long time. Most frats are on probation more than they aren’t. Yeah they’re building new houses but that doesn’t mean more frats won’t be getting booted. Kt is fundamentally changing Greek life to make the school less fun and this exact same thing did indeed happen at duke. Yeah you can say some of those frats deserved to be kicked but honestly a lot of the claims made about those frats simply are not true and the reasons that existing frats get suspended are sometimes arbitrary and the suspensions last way too long
