sophomore transfer, frat rush prospects?

I may transfer here as a sophomore, I know you can't actually rush until your 2nd year, but does that mean that I'll stand an equal chance during the rush process? Or does that mean that freshman year is basically informal rush

Most fraternities only know a handful of their prospective new pledges going into rush. you'll be fine
