Although the stereotype of the sorority girl is oblivious, self-absorbed, superficial, etc... you will find that at Bucknell, this portrayal remains unfulfilled. In order to gain entry into a sorority, one must have a vast, sometimes esoteric, compendium of knowledge. You must be worldly. Here are some talking points that are forecasted to be brought up in this year's rush process:
1. Afghanistan: Make sure you have a commanding knowledge of the past 200 years of history of this landlocked country. Specifics include: wars against Imperial Britain, the effect of the Durand Line on the Pashtun population, the Soviet occupation of the 1980's.
2. The Gospel of John: Anyone who has read this work of perennial importance should have an understanding of the nature of the Trinity, and you should be able to provide a summary of the theological and soteriological implications of this book.
3. Chess: The most popular pastime for sorority women at Bucknell, be able to hold your own in a discussion of this game's history and some basic moves and strategies.
This is not all, but this should be sufficient to carry you through most conversations throughout your rush process.
Good luck!

Getting into a sorority is kind of like getting into Valhalla: you have to be slain in battle. However, only one out of every two warriors is selected by the Valkyrie to dwell in Valhalla until Ragnarok, so in order to be picked you must first go out and demonstrate your prowess in the martial arts, slaying many puissant fighters, half of whom you will feast with in my hall of valiant heroes. Then in turn you must be slain in battle.
