fraternity comments

If you're in a fraternity at this school, you know damn well where you stand socially. You just go on this website to make yourself feel better about how cool you think girls think you are.

When I went through rush this year, what I saw was the majority of guys wanted to get bids at Phi Psi, Kappa Sig, TKE, and Chi Phi pretty much in that order (I think that is what the bid ranking was actually). This is probably because they are the most general frats with the largest appeal. SAE, SigEp, FIJI, and SigChi all have very narrow ranges of guys to pull (though you can argue that is what makes them "better").

My advice to any of next years freshman is go where you are comfortable/know upperclassmen, don't try to force yourself into a bad fit just due to reputation. Most likely if you are trying to force it, the frat knows and doesn't want you anyways.

Agreeing with "HO"

I went through rush this year too and would completely agree with that. It seemed like every guy wanted Phi Psi > Kappa Sig > TKE > Chi Phi

I didn't hear many people talk about/ nor did I see many people at FIJI and Sig Chi events. That's why their classes ended up being split between the guys that basically dirty rushed (from sports teams), and the random kids from snap bids.

Sig Ep pretty much had its class already, basically one group of friends...with some random guys thrown in

...and no one was talking about SAE because they already had their underground class picked out before rush started.

The way I see it, most of the fraternities have some sort of rival-counterpart

Of which I personally prefer SAE, Phi Psi, FIJI, and TKE

SAE, SigEp, and FIJI are all top tier (pi phi & kappa)

Kappa Sig and Phi Psi are second tier (Sig Chi used to be before getting in trouble) (axo)

TKE is absolutely average (dg & adpi)

Chi Phi, Lambda, DU, & KDR are all bottom tier (xo and theta)

This is based on who each fraternity mixes with.
