Sororities at Buck

Why do girls join sororities at Bucknell? I understand joining a fraternity because you get to throw all the parties, live in a house with your friends, and essentially do whatever you want. However, girls still get into the same parties regardless of whether or not you are in a sorority. So why pay to be in one? To go to a party an hour earlier than everyone else?

It’s possible, but so incredibly difficult. You will not have the full bucknell experience without being in one and honestly will feel so left out.

Maybe true in other years but this year it is different. So many people going remote and no parties. You don’t need it at all.

I know some women join sororities for the chance to be a part of something. Especially smaller organizations where you have more say in what happens and what you get to do.

It is possible to not go Greek but it’s easier if you do.
