beta gamma history

Hi, I was wondering if anyone might know the answer to this....My mother pledged Beta Gamma back in the early 1970s. She remembers that BG split off from a larger national sorority, but didn't know which one it was. Does anyone know the history of BG at Bucknell and the original group? Thanks!

I believe it was Kappa Delta.
