by: SisterI’m not sure I understand all of the rules . If a sorority (other than DZ) is under total, wouldn’t they offer bids to unaffiliated women even if the organization isn’t participating in COB? Why not give people a chance ?

Couldn't agree more, DZ is equal!! They only thing they lack is size, and it is slowly getting there!

Yes they are small but I do think that they will get bigger. Hopefully they get some COB’s this semester.

So you are suggesting that a sorority that is under total would rather have the chance to MAYBE get more biddies next year than filling every last potential spot now ? I did think that nationals had some control
on whether or not the organizations had to get to total ? I don’t think my sorority has as many sisters as some do . Wouldn’t it be better to get some unaffiliated now ?

I know that the sororities can only take a certain amount but even if people dropped and left more spaces I wouldn't want to try and be a part of girls who didn't make me a priority in the first place. I would feel that I was kind of on the outside. I guess some girls rather that than nothing at all. I do see both sides but I ( who didn't get what I thought I wanted) realize maybe I should have had more of an open mind. All of the sororities seem very chill and I made a mistake. I think back and I could kick myself but now I'm licking my first semester wounds and I will be fine just like all the others before me and after me.

All the sororities are supposed to have great girls like everyone always says , right ? So it shouldn’t really matter if they wanted you or not . All should be filled to capacity . Maybe they wanted you but didn’t have the room in quota . TBT there isn’t much difference in sororities here. A girl from adpi could be in kappa , a theta could be an axid. There are cliques in all and most people would fit in all . This why people end up happy in whatever sorority they join . DZ is different . I am not being harsh on DZ , please don’t think I am, but until there are more people in DZ, most girls will want to join the larger sororities for the full experience .

I totally agree. DZ has a bunch of fun pretty girls and hopefully they will get bigger. I think anyone who joins a sorority ( including DZ) will get a great experience. They all support eachother so this thread is just silly.

DZ is getting there, its a tough sell when you're the new guy. But maybe there will be an end to all this.
