Smart and nice and they throw good parties. Good group. They did a reboot a few years ago and pledge classes are getting better and better.

I graduated last year, and my best bud was a brother of SAE. I stayed unaffiliated during my time at bucknell because my double major took up too much of my time, but all SAE brothers always welcomed me because their brother always did. SAE is probably the only frat on campus where the members make up a full spectrum of different personalities and priorities. I saw firsthand that if you wanted to have a chill Friday night in watching movies or work on a paper or go out and get blackout there was always a group of brothers down for something. I think they’re wrongly typecasted as boring or the least social. No, they’re just not carbon copies of one another and some go hard every night while others would rather prioritize academics. I think it makes for a great balance and an atmosphere where any kinda guy can be happy and do their thing. SAE has been on the rise for 4 years now, and they ain’t going anywhere!

LOVE these guys, not the most popular on campus but so sweet and respectful, and honestly been stepping up their game lately with parties and socializing, def solidifying their spot as thetas “brother frat”, if they get a good pc next year they could beat out chi phi/lamda easily

Definitely much different fraternity from 3 years ago. They’ve gotten some solid guys in those years. Not the most popular frat on campus but they don’t give off a desperate vibe like some other frats and throw great parties whenever they actually decide to. I think if they got more involved on campus and maybe a bit more regularly social they’d be unstoppable.

Lowkey frat. No real pledge process and they only mix with chi-o and theta mainly.

I love the SAE guys! One of the few fraternities I can feel safe here! Also they have the best drinks by far. They could be a bit more social tho

Normal type frat with regular guys. Nothing crazy here and if you don’t want a crazy party scene with less intense pledging, this is the one to join.

The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others, rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe.
