Comment:  While the Georgia College chapter is new, ΣAE is the oldest fraternity on campus. Founded March 9, 1856 at the University of Alabama, it is the only fraternity founded in the antebellum South. ΣAE has initiated over 305,00 True Gentlemen since then, competing only with Sigma Chi for the title of largest national fraternity.
