Comment:  Rumor has it the fraternity desperately throws many parties (that mostly freshmen attend) to attract na?ve freshman rushees early on before they realize the true reputation of the house, and because the fraternity is going broke. The brotherhood is practically non-existent after the first year (which defines their house, first-year central). Once you get over the fact that they throw parties and consume alcohol, which is typically watered down beer and mediocre punch.
