Comment:  First of all, everyone at DePauw is a so-called "try hard," otherwise admissions would not have accepted them. Secondly, being a try hard is a good thing. There's no hard alcohol unless you know who to ask and they only have that rule because the frosh girls would come blacked out at pass out in the front lawn and beta got blamed. This rule is being adapted campus wide as well. The girls love most betas and their parties.
