Comment:  at the University of Illinois. Our founders recognized a need for an organization that appreciated the different cultures present on this campus, and that is where it all began! We aim to improve the quality of life for collegiate women and the community by recognizing each other's unique qualities and building upon them. Deta Xi Phi was formed so women of all walks of life could join together and form a diverse sisterhood. In 1994, we became the first national multicultural sorority founded on this campus.
