No one needs to "feel dominance," as you so inelegantly put it. We take this seriously because 1) sorority life is not just an "activity," it is a sisterhood. 2) It's not just a club or organization, it's where we live. 3) We make an emotional investment so, by definition, we take pride in our sorority 4) Greek life I by definition competitive, from the first rush party Homecoming decs to Greek Week.
