There are a lot of reasons. 1. More girls go through recruitment here. We will have 2500+ girls coming through, which is a heck of a lot when compared to other schools--even other big SEC/Greek schools. 2. In Alabama, girls literally start preparing for sorority recruitment when they get to high school and are very serious about it. There were girls at my high school that had 3 recs for every house by the December before recruitment started. 3. Alabama is built on tradition and that also includes fraternities and sororities. We honestly have the best Greek system in the country and have great support from the university and alums, which means that we can do pretty much whatever we want--including being super picky during recruitment.
