Hello everyone. I was born in America, but because my dad is a military officer, my family has been living abroad for the past 12 years or so. I've returned home to the states every other summer to visit family, but for the most part I've been living in other countries in Europe and Asia. I have a really good family friend who was in a sorority at Vanderbilt and she really sold me on the "southern sorority woman," so I'm really excited to rush this fall. However, I wasn't able to go to any of the previews, and because I'm living abroad, it's extremely difficult to get any kind of recommendation letters. Will sororities be willing to look past my lack of recs given that I'm coming from abroad? Are there any other military brats out there with recruitment stories?
