<strong>Subject:</strong><br />ZTA isnt a top house<br /><br /> Poster Message:
Let me start by saying ZTA does score some pretty great PNMs and have some great members. They’re definitely more desirable to a lot of PNMs than the old row houses and they have made great strides in the past few years and do consistently compete with some top houses during rush - hello Phi Mu. However, they still can’t be considered a top house. Reason #1: Retention and membership issues!!! Ladies, top houses do not have to COB, they do not lose members at an alarming rate. Whatever the reason may be, ZTA almost always is eligible to and almost always participates in COB. This raises a flag that something is not right within the chapter behind closed doors and they’re not able to keep members well active, participating, and paying. Reason #2: grades!! going back through the past few years grade reports - ZTA consistently has a lower GPA than the average APA GPA and lower than the all undergraduate women’s GPA. They’re typically ringing in at #15 or #16 on the grade report. This speaks for itself, but even the wilder “party” houses have high GPAs than this. Some other reasons include still cross rushing with lower tier houses, taking “filler” PNMs to fill a pledge class, taking instate girls with bad reps to say you have the instate pull, lack of involvement on campus (aside from dance team, cheer, and majorette - all who are physically attractive). However this house is desirable to many and does get quality PNMs and members, but as with every other house you have to look at the overall picture.
