You can't get a snap bid if you don't go through recruitment. Snap bids are for girls who started the process and dropped. Some are then contacted on bid day and offered a snap bid which they must take before bid day starts. I suggest calling again and seeing if your reason for missing is good enough. I know some athletes are allowed to miss parties. Either talk to the Greek life office or try to contact the VP or Revruitment. If you can't then you will have to look into COBing. Don't worry about that until you can't your answer.
