Alpha Delta Pi's legacy policy specifically states that "steps" are NOT legacies. Only actual daughters, granddaughters, and sisters are afforded legacy status. This means that the chapter can release you at any time and if they carry you to pref they do not have to put you on the first bid list. However, your step mom should send the chapter a recommendation form and make clear her connection to the chapter as an alum and her connection to you. The chapter may consider this relationship.
