I am not disagreeing with you on KD or Alpha Phi's or Phi Mu's place in the pecking order in the state of Texas. I'm from Texas and have friends and relatives at UT, A&M and Tech, and I know how they are perceived. But who else should come here next? Alpha Sigma Tau? Sigma Sigma Sigma? Alpha Xi Delta? My point is that of the 13 NPC sororities left (counting Phi Mu with us already) Alpha Phi and Kappa Delta have the strongest national presence of those 13. They may not be strong now, or ever, in Texas but if a group is going to be successful here and not fold in 5 years then there needs to be some national backing and local alum base. KD and Alpha Phi can offer those much better than Alpha Sigma Alpha or Sigma Delta Tau. Wouldn't you agree to that? There are sororities at TCU that didn't have a strong Texas tradition before coming here. Are they top tier here? No, but all of them are solid, none are in danger of losing their chapter due to small numbers, and they are full of girls who love their sorority. That's all we can ask for from any group coming to TCU. It doesn't have to be top tier or nothing. It just needs to be solid and not in danger of folding. Who else would you suggest come here? Or are you comfortable with pledge classes in the 90s, which is where we are eventually trending? That's an honest question, not meant as snarky.
