For girls going through rush next year: start now. Like really start now. If you know people well you have a head start, if you don't try to find someone. If you don't know how rush at UT works, like most everyone has said (unless you're hot/rich from OS) you probably won't get big six. If that's ok with you it's ok. I'm fairly certain this year more girls rushed than have ever before but we have the smallest pcs in about a decade. Try to stick it out. Everyone wants top obviously, but not everyone fits either. IMO at UT so many of the people are so similar in being very well rounded that the middle 50% of most houses are pretty interchangeable, BUT it's the top and bottom 25% that get the stereotypes put on them and keep the houses where they are (ignoring Texas tradition which is why the rankings will never really change). Ex: I know girls who rushed twice who got sdt try one and end up pkt try two, who rushed twice and got sdt or completely cut both times, who kept the same tiers they had the first time but were more gracious, and people who dropped big six to be somewhere for better fit. Some does have to do with the quality of the girls, but honestly it was pretty random. Be open minded to everything. Worst comes to worst take a bid (unless it's sdt) (axid had a cheerleader last year so no one hate on them either) and then if you don't like it drop before iniation because typically 200+girls drop each year and all want 1/50(ish) cobs
