I attended a similar type high school. From what I've noticed over a couple of pledge classes is that actives in those chapters tend to pull in similar girls from the classes behind them- i.e., the drill team girls go Kappa, the cheerleaders go Pi Phi, the academic student council leader types go ChiO, and then there may be a random mega legacy that gets thrown into the mix. I wouldn't say that all the drill team Kappas were bff in high school but the younger girls are well though of enough (even if just aquaintances) that the older actives pull them in. I've never known a random who isn't a big time legacy to get a bid to any Big 6 chapter from my high school.
